The loom remembers

A weaving is a record before it is an artwork: every choice is kept in the structure, impossible to fake.

You cannot improvise a weave after the fact. Every decision is locked into the structure as it is made, row by row, and stays there. The loom remembers what the hand did.

That is why a textile practice sits so easily in a record: it is already one. The work simply makes the keeping visible.
